The Starry Night Murrine V1R1P-8
The Starry Night Murrine V1R1P-8
Version 1, 1st release, Plain (Non-Laminated), #8 of 10
This murrine is a recreation of Van Gogh's famous painting "The Starry Night" in 1889. It was made in borosilicate glass using a combination of techniques including Franchini, particulate stack (stringer stack variant), coldwork, furnace work, and flame work.
The unlaminated slabs are murrine that have been remelted and reannealed to minimize the stress from the original pull. They have been coldworked to a cerium finish.
Thank you to everyone who made this project possible!
